The Gavarnie falls

During our visit to the Pyrenees, we stayed in the village of Gavarnie, at the entrance of the famous Cirque du Gavarnie. This impressive amphitheater-like valley contains at its end the Gavarnie falls, which are at 422 m the highest waterfalls of Europe France.


  1. Well, of France maybe, but in the high North there are many more, both in overall altitude as well as in single free fall:; also Switzerland comes before in the list:öchsten_Wasserfälle
